Soudicy is a local complementary currency circulating in the Allier department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, issued by an association rather than any monetary authority. These schemes proliferated across rural France during the 2010s, typically organized at the commune or intercommunal level to encourage spending within a defined local economy. The Allier network is among the smaller such initiatives, which makes surviving examples of individual denominations — particularly the half-unit — harder to document than their urban counterparts.
