The EuroSouvenir 0 Euro program, launched around 2015 by a French company with ECB authorization to use euro visual standards on non-legal-tender collector notes, commissioned Oberthur Fiduciaire — one of the primary security printers behind actual euro banknotes — to produce these. The legitimacy of the printer lends the series its main technical credibility; the notes carry genuine security features, including a holographic strip.
The Nürburgring 24-hour race, held annually since 1970, draws amateur and factory entries alike — the course's notorious Nordschleife section has made it a genuine proving ground rather than a prestige sprint.
