| Reverse description | The reverse carries a composite vignette of six celebrated European monuments arranged across the note: Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, the Tower of Belém, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Colosseum in Rome, the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, and Brussels' Manneken-Pis. The 0 Euro souvenir note program, administered through licensed distributors across Europe, has been running since around 2015 and functions entirely outside any monetary system — these notes have no legal tender status and are manufactured as collectibles from the outset. Oberthur prints them to genuine banknote specification, with proper security features, which is precisely why they appeal to collectors rather than simply sitting alongside fridge magnets in a tourist shop.
Amsterdam's entry in the series marks the city's 750th anniversary. The founding date of 1275 derives from a toll exemption granted by Count Floris V — the earliest documentary evidence of the settlement's existence.
