EuroSouvenir notes occupy a peculiar niche — legal collector's items denominated at zero, sold for several euros, and accepted nowhere. The program launched in 2015 and Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to the same security specifications used for genuine euro banknotes, which is the whole commercial point: the substrate, the UV features, and the serial numbering are real, even if the monetary value is not.
The Panathenaic Stadium in Athens is one of the more historically defensible subjects in the series — the only major Olympic venue constructed entirely in marble, and the site of the first modern Games in 1896.
