The EuroSouvenir zero-euro note program, launched in France in 2016 and later expanded across Europe, is an officially licensed scheme producing legal-format collector notes with a face value of zero — technically valid currency but deliberately worthless as a spending instrument. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to full security-note specification, including intaglio printing and embedded security threads, which is part of the appeal: buyers are getting a genuine banknote manufacturing process applied to a souvenir.

The Brandenburg Gate series has been among the most commercially successful in the German market, issued across multiple years with subtle design variations that drive repeat collecting.
