The zero-euro souvenir note program, administered under Eurosouvenir licensing, uses genuine Oberthur Fiduciaire cotton-substrate stock with embedded watermark security — the same production standards applied to circulating currency, despite the denomination having no legal tender value anywhere. Oberthur has printed the vast majority of these collector issues since the program expanded aggressively after 2015.
Górski coached the Polish national football team to third place at the 1974 FIFA World Cup in West Germany, still the country's best-ever tournament finish. The Museum of Sports and Tourism in Warsaw, which holds the largest collection of Polish sports memorabilia, commissioned this note as part of a broader effort to document national athletic history in a format that actually sells.
