| Obverse description | The right half of the note is dominated by a large intaglio-style vignette of Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), its twin Gothic spires rendered in deep magenta against a multicolour guilloche underprint of purple, yellow, and rose. To the left, a large zero numeral in dark violet guilloche occupies the centre-left field, flanked by a ring of twelve EU stars; the upper-left corner carries the EU flag vignette with the 'EUROSOUVENIR' inscription and the series date '2023-7'. A small outline vignette of the cathedral's twin spires appears in the lower-centre area, and the EURO SOUVENIR logo with its distinctive coloured arc is printed at the lower centre; a facsimile signature of R. Faille, C.E.O., appears above the serial number at lower right. |
