The Louis de Funès museum operates out of the Château de Clermont, the comedian's private residence in Saint-Raphaël, opened to the public after his death in 1983. The 0 euro souvenir note program, administered through UEQC and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire, has issued thousands of these since 2015 — each one technically legal tender at face value, though no retailer is obligated to accept them. The commercial logic is straightforward: collectors pay several euros for a note worth zero.
