Souvenir zero-euro notes have been produced by Oberthur Fiduciaire under contract with PEAM since around 2015, using the same intaglio-adjacent security printing specifications as genuine euro banknotes — including the embedded security thread and UV-reactive ink. The Amsterdam Westerdok issue is one of several Dutch transport and infrastructure themed pieces in the series. Westerdok station itself opened in 2013, making this one of the newer subjects in the Netherlands run.
