| Obverse description | The central vignette presents a Type 12 Atlantic steam locomotive, constructed in Belgium, rendered in a bold graphic style that emphasises its monumental driving wheels exceeding two meters in diameter — a class of which only six examples were produced. The locomotive silhouette dominates the face of the note against a decorative underprint, framed by period-appropriate typographic elements.
