EuroSouvenir notes are legal tender in a technical sense — the European Central Bank authorized the 0 Euro denomination specifically for the collector souvenir market in 2015 — but no transaction has ever been completed with one, and none ever will be. The program has produced hundreds of issues tied to tourist sites across Europe, each printed by licensed security printers to full banknote specification. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of France's principal security printing houses, handles a significant portion of the series.
Valladolid's cathedral is one of Spain's more unusual ecclesiastical buildings: begun in the late sixteenth century to a design by Juan de Herrera, the same architect behind El Escorial, it was never completed. The upper towers were never built, leaving the façade permanently truncated.
