Zdzisław Kapka won a bronze medal in the triple jump at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics — Poland's only athletics medal from those Games. This commemorative souvenir note, issued by the Warsaw sports museum, belongs to the European 0 Euro collector series, which Oberthur Fiduciaire has produced for hundreds of cultural institutions since the concept took off around 2015. The notes are legal curiosities: denominated in a real currency but assigned zero face value, making them collectibles by design rather than accident.
Oberthur's involvement ensures genuine security paper and watermarking, which gives the format credibility it would otherwise lack entirely.
