EuroSouvenir notes occupy an odd corner of the hobby — legally zero-denomination, they carry no monetary value but are printed to full security-paper specification by licensed banknote printers. Oberthur Fiduciaire produces the bulk of the series under European Central Bank authorization, which requires the notes to be visually distinct from genuine euro denominations while sharing their physical construction. The result is a collectible that passes through souvenir kiosks rather than cash registers but would be technically demanding to counterfeit.
