Memo Euroscope issues these zero-denomination novelty pieces as educational supplements — they replicate Euro security features in a format that can be legally distributed and handled without falling under counterfeiting statutes that prohibit reproduction of valid currency. Enschedé in Haarlem, one of Europe's oldest continuously operating security printers, brings genuine technical credibility to the project; the firm has produced banknotes for dozens of central banks and is not merely a novelty printer lending its name.
