| Obverse description | The right half of the obverse carries an intaglio vignette of the Tachara Palace at Persepolis, rendered in dark brown, with a frieze of Achaemenid guardsmen along the lower register and the bilingual caption "TACHARA PALACE - PERSEPOLIS" beneath. The left half bears an elaborate polychrome arabesque medallion in teal, gold, and rose as underprint, overlaid with the bold green Farsi inscription "یک میلیون ریال" (One Million Rials) and the "ایران چک" (Iran Cheque) legend.
