Global Numismatic Services LP is a private company with no monetary authority, and this "Polar Dollar" has no legal tender status anywhere. It is a privately issued novelty item — collectible by design, currency by name only. The polar bear denomination of 1½ is purely decorative arithmetic. Polymer substrate and a hologram give it the physical vocabulary of a real banknote, which is precisely the point.
