| Reverse description | Central device comprising the oval shield of the Grimaldi arms — fusilly in lozenges of argent and gules, here rendered as alternating diagonal bands — surmounted by a princely crown with elaborate scrollwork supporters on either side. A fleur-de-lis appears prominently above the crown, flanked by foliate branches. The surrounding Latin legend, interrupted by the date, reads ·1665· FLORENT CVM· LILIO· AN· DO· (They flourish with the lily, in the year of the Lord). Fine denticles ring the milled border. |
