| Obverse description | The Panamanian coat of arms occupies the central field, flanked on either side by the silver fineness designation 'LEY GR. 0.900 12.50'. Nine stars arc above the shield. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE PANAMA' appears at the top, with the national motto 'PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO' continuing the legend. A laurel and olive wreath frames the lower portion of the design, with the date 1953 inscribed in the exergue. |
