Reverse description The fractional denomination is displayed prominently at center, with the escudo symbol 'Eº' positioned above and the fraction '1/2' in large numerals beneath it, followed by the legend CENTESIMO below. Two upward-curving grain or laurel sprigs flank the denomination on either side, their tips meeting above the 'Eº' symbol to form a wreath-like frame. The four-digit date appears in the lower field below the sprigs, with the Santiago mint mark 'So' (shown as a small 'S' with a dot above) centered at the very bottom, all within a denticulated inner border.
