Obverse description Cast bronze ban jin spade-type coin of the State of Wei, exhibiting the distinctive D-shaped or half-disc form with a central round suspension hole. The obverse bears two archaic Chinese characters, 半釿 (bàn jǐn, meaning 'half jin'), incused or in low relief within the field, rendered in the angular Zhou-period script characteristic of Wei coinage. The coin's surface displays heavy patination with green and brown encrustation consistent with prolonged burial. The irregular, hand-finished edges and uneven casting surfaces are typical of Warring States period bronze monetary production.

Reverse description Plain reverse with no inscription or decorative elements, showing a flat or slightly convex cast surface covered with a thick patina of green and brown oxidation. The surface texture is rough and uneven, characteristic of sand-cast Warring States bronze coinage, with minor casting irregularities and flow lines visible across the field. The central round hole is clearly defined on this side as well.
