Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of George III facing right, rendered in moderately high relief at center of the field. The effigy depicts the king wearing a laurel wreath with ribbons trailing behind the neck, with truncated drapery at the shoulder. A beaded inner border frames the central device, with the circular legend HALFPENNY TOKEN arcing across the upper field. The date 1814 appears prominently in the lower exergue, flanked by small raised dots serving as separators.
