Reverse description Central short cross pattée contained within a beaded inner circle, with a fleur-de-lis and a pellet placed in each of the four quarters formed by the cross arms. The moneyer's legend is arranged around the periphery in two lines, identifying the responsible moneyer and mint. The design is typical of the Angevin short-cross coinage style adopted for Irish issues of this period, with the field showing the characteristic bold relief of hammered silver.
