Obverse description Two winged cherubs flank a funerary urn mounted on a rectangular pedestal, each cherub raising one hand to place a laurel wreath above the vessel in a commemorative gesture. The pedestal bears the incuse inscription FELL / OCT 13 / 1812, recording the date of General Isaac Brock's death at the Battle of Queenston Heights. The peripheral legend reads SIR ISAAC BROCK THE HERO OF UP. CANADA FELL OCT 13 1812, running clockwise within a beaded border. The overall composition is executed in a neoclassical relief style consistent with early nineteenth-century British token engraving.
