Reverse description The bold fraction numeral 1/2 occupies the central field, enclosed within a raised beaded circle. The English circular legend CYPRUS HALF PIASTRE with the year of issue incorporated within the inscription runs between the beaded border and the outer milled rim, with raised pellets serving as word separators. The overall composition is plain and utilitarian, typical of British colonial bronze coinage of the period.
