| Obverse description | Central field bears a two-line Arabic inscription in Kufic script reading 'al-Amīr / Yūsuf', identifying the Almoravid ruler Yūsuf ibn Tāshfīn. The legend is set within a pellet-bordered inner circle, surrounded by a repeating decorative marginal border of stylized floral or geometric motifs typical of Almoravid hammered silver coinage. The flan is notably irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck production of the period. The strike is moderately sharp at centre but weakens toward the periphery, a characteristic feature of these small-denomination Almoravid fractions. |

| Reverse description | The reverse of this small hammered silver fraction appears entirely blank or uniface, presenting a plain, slightly concave flan surface with no discernible legend, device, or decorative element. The irregular, striated surface reflects the characteristics of a hammered blank that received no die impression on this side, consistent with known examples of this Almoravid half-qirat type catalogued under Vives arab#1539. |
