| Reverse description | Crowned royal cypher of Louis I of Spain, composed of intertwined and mirrored 'L' monograms, centrally placed in the field. The date appears below the monogram, partially visible as is typical of cob coinage. The irregular flan and variable strike characteristic of hammered macuquina production result in an incomplete peripheral legend. The overall design follows the standard Spanish colonial cob format employed at the Potosí mint during the brief reign of Louis I. |
