| Obverse description | Crowned K for Charles I (Carlos I) Original Gothic lettering in legend. No assayer mark appears on this issue. But would be `R` Francisco del Rincon. Two varieties of obverse die exist. Type 1, dot either side of the `K`. Type 2, with 3 dots one either side of the `K` and one in between the upper arms of the `K` itself. |
