Obverse description Two upright lulav (palm) branches depicted in the center of the field, their fronds spreading symmetrically. A Hebrew inscription encircles the central motif, reading 'שנת ארבע רביע' ('Year Four, Quarter'), distributed around the periphery of the flan. The die-cut is bold and characteristic of the emergency hammered coinage produced during the Jewish revolt against Rome.
