| Obverse description | Central field bears the tughra or name inscription of Sultan Mahmud II in Arabic script, rendered in bold raised lettering. The legend is arranged across the coin face in two lines within an inner beaded border. The irregular flan and characteristic hammered fabric are consistent with Ottoman provincial mint production of the early 19th century. |
