| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the cursive royal cypher 'GR' (Georgius Rex) in ornate interlaced script, surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown rendered in fine relief. The cypher is flanked on either side by a laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow.
