| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Panama occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a sword and rifle, tools of labor, a cornucopia, and a wheel with a winged fasces, flanked by two ships representing the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. An harpy eagle with spread wings surmounts the shield, and two cornucopias flank its base. The legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA arcs along the upper periphery, with a row of nine stars beneath it.
