| Obverse description | Round brass cash coin featuring a central square perforation flanked by four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu), arranged in cruciform fashion reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left: 康熙通寶 (Kangxi Tongbao, meaning 'Current treasure of the Kangxi [era]'). The characters are boldly cast in raised relief against a flat field, with the square hole framed by a raised square rim. The outer edge is defined by a raised circular border, consistent with standard Qing dynasty cash coin typology. |
