Obverse description Central field features the crowned Dutch lion rampant, facing left, holding a bundle of arrows in its left paw and a sword raised in its right, rendered in fine relief within a beaded inner circle. The lion is depicted in the traditional heraldic style of the Netherlands coat of arms, with detailed mane and shield hatching. The circular legend KONINGRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN runs along the outer border, flanked by small ornamental stops. The date appears at the bottom of the coin, below the inner circle. The overall design is framed by a reeded edge.
