Obverse description Third portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem and drop earring, with loosely curled hair, engraved by Raphael David Maklouf. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower field. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, accompanied by the engraver's initials RDM. A beaded border encircles the entire design.
