Reverse description Central field bears the three-line denomination inscription ONE / CENT / CANADA, with the date 1911 below, all enclosed within an octagonal beaded border. Surrounding this inner frame is an ornate wreath of maple leaves and vines, with the foliage rendered in high relief and flowing symmetrically around the entire design. An outer beaded border and milled rim complete the composition. The reverse was engraved by William Henry James Blakemore and represents a refined continuation of the large cent format established under Edward VII.
