Reverse description A laurel wreath, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, frames a raised central circle occupying the centre of the field. The denomination ONE CENT is inscribed within the wreath, divided above and below the central circle. The legend HONG-KONG arcs across the upper field, flanked on each side by a small cross. The date 1862 appears in the exergue below the wreath. The entire design is bordered by a beaded rim.
