| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Honduras centered in the field, depicting a triangular mountain landscape above wavy lines representing the sea, flanked by two cornucopias and crossed by cannons and a quiver of arrows at the base, all enclosed within an oval cartouche bearing the legend HONDURAS LIBRE SOBERANA INDEPENDIENTE and the independence date 15 SEPTBRE 1821. The circular outer legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS runs along the upper periphery. The date of issue appears in large numerals in the lower field below the arms. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
