Obverse description At center of the field, a large incuse five-pointed star is prominently displayed, its outline rendered in clean, unadorned lines against the plain copper field. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE arcs around the upper periphery, separated from the rim by a raised border. A small decorative star ornament appears at the base of the design, flanked by the four-digit date 1835 inscribed in the lower field. The overall composition is restrained and emblematic, characteristic of early Chilean republican coinage.
