| Reverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the royal cipher 'RV' in relief denotes the reigning maharaja Rama Varma. Surrounding the inner circle, the denomination is expressed bilingually: in English as 'ONE CHUCKRAM' and in Malayalam script as 'ഒരു ചക്രം' (Oru Chuckram). The entire reverse design is further enclosed by an outer beaded border, consistent with the obverse treatment and characteristic of Travancore copper coinage of this era. |
