Shire Post Mint produced this piece as part of their licensed collaboration with Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere fiction, specifically the Wax and Wayne sequence set three centuries after the original Mistborn trilogy. The "clip" denomination is drawn directly from Sanderson's invented currency system, where larger coins are literally clipped down to smaller fractions — a practice with real historical precedent in colonial-era commodity coinage.
