| Reverse description | Reverse of hammered gold dinar, presenting a central field with multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription in four horizontal lines within a plain inner circle. The central legend names the ruler Ibrahim ibn Abi Bakr with his title Amir al-Muslimin, and includes the Quranic verse of the Mission (Quran 9:33). A continuous marginal inscription in a concentric outer band surrounds the central field, carrying further religious text. The design is entirely epigraphic, aniconic, and conforms to the standard Almoravid dinar typology, with well-spaced letter forms on a flat, slightly irregular flan. |
