Obverse description Central vignette of the Chiremba Balancing Rocks, a geological formation in Matopos National Park, rendered in intaglio against a guilloche underprint. The Zimbabwe Bird soapstone emblem appears in colour-shifting ink, shifting between gold and green depending on viewing angle. Issuer name and promise-to-pay inscription are letterpress-printed across the upper and lower registers.

Reverse description Central oval vignette in dark blue intaglio portraying two women in traditional dress pounding grain with a large wooden pestle and mortar, with thatched huts and cultivated agricultural fields receding into the background. The left panel carries a repeating guilloche pattern interspersed with diamond-shaped ornaments and numeral 1 motifs as a latent security underprint. The denomination numeral 1 appears at lower right.
