Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at right, rendered in fine engraved detail against a multicolour guilloche underprint in pale green and lilac tones. The Fijian coat of arms, supported by two warrior figures with the motto 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka Doka na Tui', occupies the centre of the note. A traditional Fijian tanoa (kava bowl) artifact appears at the far right, with denomination numerals '$1' at upper left and lower right.

Reverse description Central vignette depicts a busy open-air market scene in Suva, with vendors and shoppers crowded around produce stalls and a large passenger vessel visible in the harbour background. A Fijian tanoa artifact vignette appears at the left margin, set within an intricate geometric border incorporating traditional Fijian tapa cloth patterns. Denomination panels '$1' and 'FIJI' appear in ornate guilloche rosettes at the upper corners, with the printer's imprint 'BRADBURY WILKINSON' at the lower centre.
