Reverse description A bold, stylised trident — the national symbol of Barbados — is prominently depicted in the centre of the field against a mirror-polished background, its three upward-pointing prongs rising above a broad curved base. A circular legend surrounds the central device, with '.9999 FINE GOLD' inscribed to the left and '1/10TH TROY OUNCE' to the right within the inner border. The denomination 'ONE DOLLAR' is inscribed in large letters along the lower portion of the inner border. The design is framed by a dentillated inner ring and a beaded outer border consistent with the obverse.
