Obverse description Stylized royal bust in right profile, derived from Sasanian prototypes, with a circled dot device above the effigy. A debased and distorted Pahlavi legend is distributed in the field behind and before the bust, reading in transliteration as a formulaic royal title. A rectangular or oval countermark of Bukhara type is applied in the field, characteristic of the local Sogdian administrative practice of the Bukhar Khudat rulers. The overall design reflects a provincial imitation of late Sasanian coinage, with progressive stylization of the original iconographic elements.
