| Additional information |
Corisco is a small island off the coast of Equatorial Guinea with a complicated colonial history — passed between Portuguese, Spanish, and briefly British hands before permanent Spanish administration. It has no mint, no significant economic infrastructure, and a population that has historically numbered in the hundreds. A coin denominated for it in 2013 was not produced for circulation and was never intended to be spent there or anywhere else.
