Obverse description Armored and wigged effigy of King Fernando VI facing right, rendered in the Baroque portrait style characteristic of early Bourbon colonial coinage. The bust is draped in armor with elaborately curled periwig falling to the shoulders, truncated at the base of the neck. The royal title legend in Latin encircles the effigy, interrupted at the base by the date 1747. A milled border runs along the coin's periphery.
