| Reverse description | Central field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in Kufic script, arranged in horizontal registers, conveying the name of the issuing authority and mint-related information. The legend is enclosed within a plain inner border surrounded by a beaded outer margin. The reverse follows the standard Samanid fals format with purely epigraphic decoration and no pictorial motifs. The strike is moderately well-centered though the flan edges are irregular, consistent with hand-struck copper issues of this dynasty. Patination across the surface is dark reddish-brown with some green cuprite deposits. |
