| Obverse description | Broad, irregularly shaped hammered copper flan displaying a bold Arabic legend in raised relief within the central field. The inscription, rendered in a cursive Naskh-style script, occupies the majority of the die area and bears the name and titles of Sultan Ali Adil Shah I. The surfaces show characteristic die-struck flatness with natural flan irregularities at the periphery, and the coin exhibits an even brown patina with areas of green cuprite encrustation consistent with prolonged burial. |
