| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of King George V wearing a Tudor crown, with robes and regalia visible at the truncation. The portrait is a crude cast imitation of the official Mackennal effigy used on Australian coinage of the period. The circular Latin legend reads GEORGIVS V D.G.BRITT:OMN:REX F.D.IND:IMP: around the periphery, interrupted by the bust. The flat, porous field and softly rendered details are characteristic of a cast lead counterfeit rather than a struck coin. |
